TRISURF was launched in Donegal in the spring of 2005 with a series of selection days.  These were held in both the North and South of the region to include as many people as possible.  There was a good turn out of hopeful surfers and numbers were narrowed down with another round of selection days.  Pete Craig from Bundoran Surf Company, and Marty McCann from Gartan Outdoor Education Centre ran the selection days. Local surfers were given surf coaching sessions to assess their water ability and commitment to the project.  Both Pete and Marty work with Donegal’s up and coming surf and waveski community and are involved in many schemes to make the sports more accessible to young people.
